The award-winning student accommodation, run by Fresh, puts a sense of community at the heart of the student experience. The development includes large social spaces including a large open-plan kitchen and games room, alongside study and meeting spaces. Bedrooms are either ensuite with a shared kitchen or light and airy self-contained studios.
The construction project included demolition of the existing 7-storey reinforced concrete and steel framed office building and the erection of a new 16 storey higher education facility. The build comprised 486 student accommodation units across 16 floors with ancillary support services together with 38,309 sq/ft of office/education space and provision of new 2 storey basement car parking for 123 cars plus cycle parking. A new electrical substation was also incorporated into the buildings at ground level.
